I watched open heart surgery today. And by watched, I mean I could have reached out and grabbed the man's beating heart after his sternum was sawed open and bone and blood went everywhere.
Oh yeah. The anesthesiologist let me get all up in his work area and stand on a stool so I was looking down into the chest cavity. It was beyond words.

It was seriously my best surgery observation ever. Absolutely amazing. Did the anesthesiologist let you stand at the HOB?
